John R. Maez

John was born in Santa Fe, NM, and moved to Huerfano County in 1987.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator and iron worker. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, several siblings, and his son, Matthew. He is survived by several siblings, seven children- Mary Maez, John (Tammy) Maez, Melissa (Donald) Tucker, Cindy Maez, Amy Maez, Julie Maez and Diana Maez, and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife of 38 years, Shirley Maez.
Family meant everything to John, and he worked hard to take care of his family. There was cremation, and private family services will be held at a later date.
