Obituary John Clemente Gallegos

John Clemente Gallegos (94) passed quietly at home on January 24, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Lucero Gallegos. John “Clem” was born in Oakview Mining Camp, La Veta, CO and was a life long resident of the North La Veta area. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Corp in England. John is survived by his children, Abigail Velarde, Susan Vigil, Dianna Lucero, Kenneth Gallegos, Jeanette Abreu, Denise Laizure, and Jessica Gallegos; their respective spouses and numerous grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday and Wednesday at Romero Chapel, Pueblo. He was laid to rest next to his wife at Masonic Cemetery in Walsenburg.
