James Sperandio

    James Joseph Sperandio was called to our Lord unexpectedly in the morning hours of August 17, 2009 at St Mary Corwin Hospital.  Jim (Jimmy) was 55 years old.  He is survived by his devoted wife, Pam; loving children: Adamo, Aguilar and Chelsea, Pueblo; sister, Cheryl (Rick) Santi, Monte Vista; nephew, Eric Santi, Ft. Collins; niece, Carly  Jo Lazoya, Monte Vista; precious great-niece, Presley Jo Lazoya; Aunt Roxie (Ray) Eccher, Walsenburg; Uncle Willie Malovich, Aguilar; Arthur Malovich, Tampa Bay, FL; special friend and mentor, Rudolph (Rudy) Todd; and a wonderful extended family of cousins and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Chester and Josephine Sperandio and Aunt Pina and Uncle Adam Galli; as well as his grandparents and other loved aunts and uncles.

    Many people will remember Jim and Pam as owners of The Iron Horse Restaurant in Walsenburg for over 18 years.  Jim was always bigger than life, loved and valued his “Iron Horse Family”.  Services will be held on Thursday, Aug 20, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, Walsenburg.  Jim will be sadly missed by many Huerfano and Las Animas county locals, friends and by his loving family.
