James Lee Ortibez 5-2-1976 ~ 8-30-2015 James Lee Ortibez, 39, of Ft Lauderdale, Florida passed away August 30, 2015. James was born in Denver, CO on May 2, 1976. James’s main occupation was as an auto mechanic, and fabrication welder. He was also certified in H-Vac installation. James graduated from high school at East Grand School District in Granby, CO, where he was on the wrestling team. James was preceded in death by his father, Carl Lee Ortibez; great grandmother, Julia Komaroski; grandmother, Louise George; grandmother, Pricilla Treiber; aunt, Patricia (Payne) George; and godparent, Dave Jaramillo. James is survived by his son, Austin James Ortibez, of Granby, CO; mother, Mary (George) Ortibez, of Winter Park, CO; aunts and uncles, Josette Balardetta of Rifle, CO; Donna (Balardetta) Howlett of Pueblo, CO; Theresa (George) and James Camerden of Colorado Springs; Paul George of Walsenburg; Manuel and Lori Sierra of Denver, CO; Theresa (Sierra) and Alan Espinoza and Linda Treiber of Walsenburg; godmother Barbara Jaramillo; and numerous cousins. A celebration of James’ life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11 am in Mazzone Hall, 118 East 7th Street, Walsenburg.
