Jacob John Maldonado, of Pueblo, Colorado entered into rest Oct. 16, 2012. He was born, April 27, 1992 in Thornton, Colorado. Jacob was 20 years of age.
He is survived by his parents, John and Lisa Maldonado of Pueblo; brother, Lucas (Marissa Vasquez) Maldonado of Pueblo; grandparents, Henry and Cora Gonzales of Walsenburg, Colorado, Margaret Maldonado of Walsenburg, Colorado, and Carl and Patricia Maldonado of Trinidad, Colorado; special uncle and aunt, Earl and Leona Gonzales of Pueblo, Colorado; special Godparents, uncle Dennis and auntie Laurie Guerrero of Aurora, Colorado; aunt Loretta and uncle Donald Andreatta of Canon City, Colorado; uncle Andy and aunt Carlene Pacheco of Walsenburg, Colorado; uncle Able and aunt Brenda of Idaho Falls, Idaho; aunt Iris and aunt Amy; special cousins Troy Andreatta and Danielle Gallegos; best friends, Mikey, Marc, Zack, Delmore and Jr., also, many more cousins, friends, and family survive.
Jacob enjoyed four wheeling, riding dirt bikes, collecting coins, hiking, and searching for rocks and arrowheads. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandparents. A visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Walsenburg, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a rosary at 1:00 pm.
A beautiful funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2012 at the New Hope Community Church at 801 Pennsylvania Ave. in Walsenburg, officiated by Pastor Alvin Wilkerson. The committal service was held at the South St. Mary’s Cemetery in Walsenburg.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Johnson-Romero Funeral Home.
