Obituary- Frances Gutierrez

Frances Jane Gutierrez

2-2-1944 ~ 10-24-2010

    Jane was born Janie Lee Pacheco on February 2, 1944 in Rifle, Colorado to Jacobo Pacheco and Flora Pacheco.  She passed peacefully after her long battle with cancer on October 24, 2010 surrounded by her loved ones.

    Jane received an AA in nursing from the University of Southern Colorado in 1972.  She had a long and successful career supporting her community through both nursing and counseling.  She retired from the Civil Service at Peterson AFB in 2005.  She loved travel and spending time with her friends and family.

    Jane is survived by her husband of 28 years, Eladio “E.G.” Gutierrez; her children:  Jeffrey (Tamara) Flores; Lisa (David) Proctor; Jason Flores; Tami (Cory) Gutierrez; Nancy (Thomas) Branden; Estee Gutierrez; her 13 grandchildren; her siblings: Millie (Emerson) Medina; Delmer (Frances) Pacheco; Gilbert (Sara) Olguin; Dennis (Joanne) Olguin; and Shirley (Manuel) Serrato.  She was preceded in death by her parents: Jacobo and Flora; her step-father, Gaspar Olguin; her brother, Jakie Lee Pacheco; her son, Daryl Lee Flores; and brothers, Gasper Olguin, Jr, and Terrance Olguin.

    The Rosary was held, Wednesday, October, 27, 7 pm at the Shrine of Remembrance Mortuary in Colorado Springs.  The funeral service was held Thursday, October 28, 11 am at the Holy Apostles Church in Colorado Springs, CO.
