Floyd Andrew Meehan was born on Sept. 16, 1941, and went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2008. He is predeceased by his parents, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Cindy of 27 years, four daughters Cynthia (Guy Garcia), Florence (Mike Lingo, Kimberly (Andrew Brady) and Kelly (Vercilash). He is also survived by six grandchildren, one sister Yvonne (Richard) and four brothers, Patrick (Shirley), Carl (Gina), Leroy and George. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
He will be deeply missed, but not forgotten. He will always be in our hearts. He was a member of Walsenburg (FOE) Eagles, and lived in Walsenburg all his life. He loved to cruise around town, watching the Rockies, Broncos and listening to his tunes. He was strong willed and kind-hearted. He always thought of everyone else before himself, and made sure that we were taken care of. He loved to be around his family and friends, including talking about the good old days. At his request, he was cremated.
A memorial service will be held on Friday August 29, 2008, at 11 am, at the Church of Christ, located at 416 Walsen Avenue.
