Obituary- Ersie Armijo

Erselia “Ersie” Bobian Armijo, 83, of Walsenburg, CO, went to be with the Lord, August 31, 2009.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Simodosia and Jacob Bobian; brothers, Jake, Nash and Henry Bobian; sisters, Viola, Lucy and Gloria; a son, David N. Armijo; and granddaughter Davita Armijo and her late husband Lazaro Armijo.  She is survived by her children, Loretta Jackson, Ray (Irene) Armijo, Sandy (Leroy) Romero, Barb Armijo, Ed (Michelle) Armijo, Frank (Debbie) Armijo, Bill (Tonnie) Armijo and Angela (Rick) Jennings; very special friend, Julian Martinez; and Robert (Geri) Trujillo, whom she thought of as a son.  She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, as well as  her brother, Eusebio Bobian; sister Elaine Trujillo and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; caregiver Renee   Holly; and special daughters-in-law LaVerne Murillo and Susan Vallejos, whom she loved as daughters.

    Ersie was loved by many.  She volunteered in many organizations along with several years of service to the Catholic church.  She loved to paint and sew.  She was known for her green thumb and delicious food.  She loved spending time with her family, who will always cherish her memory.

    Funeral service will be at 1 pm Fri, Sept 4, 2009 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Walsenburg, CO.  Interment immediately following at South St. Mary Cemetery.
