Obituary Elador Sandoval

    Elador “Doll” Sandoval, 74, died April 9, 2010 at home with his loving family in Walsenburg, CO. 

    Elador was born on June 4, 1935 in Farr, Colorado to Aurelio and Adelaida Oskel Sandoval.  He married Mercy Santistevan in 1958. 

    Elador was a member of the St. Mary Church, served on the Draft and Urban Renewal Boards and as a  member of the Board of Directors of the St. Mary Credit Union for 25 years, the majority as President.  He worked at Unfug Hardware for 49 1/2 years where customers came to sometimes shop, but always hear a good joke, he loved to keep you laughing. 

    El was an avid collector of antiques, loved reading, and watching the Denver Broncos.  He always enjoyed canning tomatoes, salsa and delicious jellies during the fall to enjoy throughout the year with his family.

    Survivors include his wife Mercy, his children, Sandra & Dick Wagner, Michelle Sandoval and Danielle Romero.  Grandchildren, Rick Wagner & Erika Wagner and his  dog Milo.  Sister, Belen Marquez, sisters-in-law, Priscilla and Fern Sandoval, special niece, Thelma Santistevan and numerous nieces and nephews.

    He is preceded in death by his brother Robert and twin brothers, Esador “Pet” and Elador A.

    Services were held, Wednesday, April 14, at St. Mary Church; Rosary at 10 am and Funeral Mass, 10:30 am.  Burial was at North St. Mary Cemetery, Walsenburg, Colorado.
