Desi Alan Salazar of Glendale, AZ, formerly of Walsenburg, CO, entered into rest, May 24, 2012. Desi was born, March 12, 1973 in Del Norte, CO to Donald and Gloria Salazar. He was 39 years of age.
Desi is survived by his parents, Donald and Gloria Salazar of Walsenburg, CO; sister, Lyana (Michael) Gilmore of Pueblo, CO; brother, Victor Salazar of Walsenburg, CO; and nephews, Evan and Derike Turner of Pueblo, CO.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Maria Salazar and Tillie and Celestino Romero.
Desi enjoyed cooking. He had a great sense of humor, he was always laughing and joking. Desi was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was very affectionate and he loved children and was very good with them. He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm July 28, 2012 at the New Hope Community Church, 801 Pennsylvania Ave., Walsenburg. Pastor Alvin Wilkerson will be officiating.
Johnson-Romero Funeral Home of Walsenburg is in charge of the arrangements.
