Cora Cardenas 3-19-1923 ~ 3-3-2015 Cora Cardenas, of Pueblo, CO, formerly of Walsenburg, peacefully entered into rest surrounded by her loving family, March 3, 2015 at St. Mary Corwin Medical Center, in Pueblo, CO. She was born March 19, 1923 in Farisita, CO to Maria and Jose Peralta. She was 91 years of age. Cora is survived by sons; George (Leona) Cardenas of Pueblo, CO, Ernie (Elizabeth) Cardenas of Cozad, NE, grandchildren, John Cardenas of Colorado Springs, CO, Kyle Cardenas of North Platte, NE, and Aleesha Cardenas of Cozad, NE; great-grandchildren, Willow of North Platte, NE and Gavyn Cardenas of Cozad, NE, Ryleigh Coca and Gianna Coca of Pueblo, CO; Sisters Maria (Manuel) Archuleta of Gardner, CO, Ernestine Padia of Denver, CO and Viola Cardenas of Pueblo, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Jose Peralta, and her four other siblings; and husband, Ernest Elfido Cardenas. Cora was always happy and smiling. She was always there for everyone who needed her. She was a mother figure to
many and had a very forgiving heart. Cora loved dancing, and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was loved and will be greatly missed. A beautiful funeral service was held Monday March 9, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church followed by a burial at the Farisita Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
