Obituary Chester A. Day

Chester A. Day
12-23-1922 ~ 4-8-2012
Chester (Chet) Day was born in Trinidad, Colo. on December 23, 1922.
He was a veteran of WW II where he did field artillery, was a truck driver and full track driver. He worked for many years at the Walsenburg Power Plant where he later retired.
Chet loved to fish, hunt and camp. He was a loving husband, father, grampa, great-grampa and friend.
He is survived by his wife Gerry of almost 61-years; his daughter Kathy Boemer; two sons, Gene Day and Steve (Laura) Day; grandchildren, Jeron (Heather) Boemer, Shanna (David) Armijo, Kaylee Boemer, Briana (Lyle) Rider, Dustin Day, Darrin Day, Jacey Day, Dean Day; and great-granddaughter Jaden Boemer.
He was the strongest, sweetest, most patient and caring man and will be painfully missed by his loved ones.
We would like to thank everyone for the kind words and thoughtfulness.
A private service will be held for family and close friends.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal!”
