Catherine Robbins, 80, of Walsenburg, CO died December 5, 2010. She was born November 1, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Delia (Nixon) Colangelo.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother John Colangelo; aunts Ange, Rose and Sally; Uncle Tommy; brother-in-law Richard Lytle; son-in-law Tom Grey. She is survived by and beloved mother of Debra (Tom, deceased) Grey, John (Lorrain) Robbins, William Coach (Carol) Cline, Vicky (Marcello) Manzanares, Robin Bolf, Samantha Hill, Dave Norton and Waffle and Bandit.
Catherine is survived by and is the beloved sister of Marie (Richard, deceased) Lytle; beloved grandmother of: Serena (Dave) Andreatta, Jessie (Tiffany) White Polk, Jug Jason (Ellen) Colangelo, Shannon (Donnie) Aho-Hughes, Toni (Johnie) Aho-Atencio, Vincent, Chris and Anna Manzanares, Alex, Sjon and Kayla Clements, Steven and Scott Robbins; beloved great grandmother of: Christopher Colangelo-Andreatta, Braedon Cole, Johnathon and Tabitha Andreatta, Alex and Emma Colangelo and Harloe Aho; she was the special aunt and second mom to Gino Gary (Melinda) Colangelo and Robert (Glenda) Lytle. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members and many friends.
Catherine loved with the deepest love you could ever feel. She would give the shirt off her back or her last dime if someone was in need. She was made of true steel; working up to this year. She was hard driven and never missed a working day for anything. Catherine also had a great love for animals and when not working would go out and enjoy all aspects of life that she could. She will be greatly missed by all who received the gift of knowing this amazing woman.
Memorial services will be held at Johnson and Romero Funeral Home, 525 Main St. in Walsenburg, CO on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 1 pm. There will be a meal following the services at 216 Pinon in Walsenburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the account of Samantha Hill at the First National Bank of Trinidad for Catherine Robbins.
