Obituary- Carolyn Ann Ellsworth

Carolyn Ann Ellsworth 12-30-1935 ~ 5-3-2014 Carolyn Ann Ellsworth, sister to Dorothy Ellsworth Gibney, Mary Ellsworth Scranton and Roy Preston Ellsworth, passed away during open heart surgery on May 3, 2014. Carolyn was a wonderful person who was a friend to many, a sister, a second parent to her nephews, and a devoted daughter. She shared her love of life with everyone she knew; she loved her art, the romance of the old west, the western life style, fishin’, a warm evening, and good yarn spinin’ with her family and friends during backyard campfires. She is survived by her sister, Mary Scranton of Austin, TX, her nephews, Donald Clinton Scranton of Austin, TX; and his family, Maria, Christopher, Lucas, and Jennifer; Mathew Allen Scranton of Juneau, AK and his family, Leslie, Dillon and Dakota; sister-in-law, Carolyn Marie Ellsworth of Pueblo; nephews, James, Roy and Arthur Ellsworth; and niece, Anna Ellsworth. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James and Dorothy Ellsworth, long time residents of Walsenburg, and her brother Roy of

Pueblo. Viewing will be at Boies-Ortega Funeral Home on Monday, May 12, between 5 and 7 pm. Service to be held at the United Methodist Church of La Veta, Tuesday, May 13 at 9:30 am. Boies Ortega Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
