Beverly Ann (Tilton) Viel, 74, of Walsenburg, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 4, 2012 at St. Mary Corwin Hospital.
She passed quickly and gently on the heels of an extended illness, aware of her loved ones at her side.
She was born April 13, 1937 in Newburyport, MA to Clarence S. and Alice (Gormley) Tilton.
Beverly was predeceased by her father; her husband of 45 years, Oscar H. Viel in 1999; and an infant granddaughter, Krystal.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Zink of Walsenburg; her mother, Alice; and three sisters, Janet, Adele and Susan. Beverly is also survived by her three children, daughter and son-in-law Eileen and Jim Anderson, son and daughter-in-law John and Erin Viel and son and daughter-in-law David and Kris Viel; as well as by her six grandchildren, Darlene (Ishkabibble), Jessica, Kyerra, Joshua, Nathan and Nicole; and three great-grand children, Matthew, Cheyenne and Dillon.
Beverly’s family and friends will always remember her warm and loving spirit. She was a kind and generous and outspoken woman who enjoyed traveling the country, cooking and eating elaborate meals and activities such as ceramics and scrapbooking and researching her family ancestry.
At Mrs. Viel’s request, no funeral services will be held.
