Betty Eggers, 74, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at her home in Walsenburg.
Betty was born August 26, 1937 in Mineral Wells, TX and had been a resident of Walsenburg for the past six years.
Betty will be remembered for her humorous, warm and loving nature and her enjoyment of friends, dancing and ‘playing the slots’.
She retired from her favorite position as Guardian Ad Litem for the state of Florida where she helped many children and families.
She was preceded in death by her son Michael McCarter of Texas and her sister, Patsy Wages of Walsenburg.
She is survived by her ‘friend and sister’ Grace Jaye Chiverton and a nephew, Steven Wages, both of Walsenburg.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Betty’s family and friends thank and remember the members of the Sangre de Cristo Hospice.
Arrangements are being handled by Boies-Ortega Funeral Home in Walsenburg.
