Obituary- Barbara Bailey

Barbara Bailey
9-22-1930 ~ 9-28-2013 Barbara Bailey, 83, of Walsenburg, joined Richard Bailey in eternal rest on September 28, 2013.
Born in La Veta, Colorado on September 22, 1930, she was a life-long Huerfano County resident and was a direct descendent of Charles and Minnie Spielman who settled in the La Veta area in 1888.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband Richard in 2007, her parents,J.J.andEdna Beamer, brother Russell Beamer, brother-in-law Freeman Bailey, brother Bud and sister-in-law Marge Keeling and nephew Bruce Bailey.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Logazzo; her brother, John (Kathy) Beamer; children Amy (Tom) McCray, Alan (Sally) Bailey, and Ann (Johnny) Vanderlip; and by her grandchildren, Doug, Seth and Jessie Patterson, Molly(Jason)Folot, and Daniel(Linda) McCray. He is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law Maurice (Evalyn) Bailey, Kenneth (Carol) Bailey, and Dr. James (Beverly) Bailey; great-grandchildren Ruby, Luke, Alyssa and Chase Patterson, Teagan McCray and Scarlett, Kendra and Grady Folot.
Barbara will be missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their children and grandchildren.
Barbara was a homemaker and excellent seamstress and loved creating prize-winning needlework.
Many will remember her colorful flower gardens. She was a member of FCE club Prairie Rangers and was an election judge for many years.
Friends and family are welcome to attend services at Boies-Ortega Funeral Home in Walsenburg at 11am on October 12, 2013 with graveside services following at Masonic Cemetery in Walsenburg.
