Anne Duzenack

Anne Duzenack was born on August 27, 1915 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and died January 7, 2013 at St. Andrews Village in Aurora, Colorado.
Anne grew up in Walsen and Cameron camps and graduated from Huerfano County High School in Walsenburg in 1933. She completed a Cosmetologist Course and set up a beauty shop in Walsenburg.
In 1941 she took her mother to Bridgeport to visit her brother and sister whom she had not seen for 20 years. While in Bridgeport Anne applied for a job & was hired with Remington Arms – which had converted to making ammunition for the impending war.
Shortly afterwards, Anne was approached about transferring to Denver to train personnel in inspection of primers for caliber shells.
After the war, Anne remained in government employment with the Air Force Accounting and Finance Center in Denver. During this tenure she was a supervisor. She retired with 32 years of Distinguished Service.
Anne was very active at the Church of the Risen Christ; loved bowling, dancing, sorority functions, and extensive travel. She sailed on seven different cruises!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Katharina Duzenack; and her siblings, Mary Pedas, Sue Lenzotti and Steve Duzenack.
She is survived by siblings Catherine Hicks (Longmont, Colorado) and William Duzenack (La Veta, Colorado).
She is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews and numerous grand and great-grandnieces and nephews.
Burial is at the Littleton Cemetery.
