Abigail was a very loving and caring mother of, Elijah, Philip, and Harmonee Valdez. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. Abigail touched many lives with her warm kind heart and had a sense of humor with a smile that would brighten anyone’s day.
Her faith and belief in the Lord was so strong it kept the strength within her.
A passion she had was cooking, and she loved her jars of pickles.
Abigail will truly be missed but will remain forever cherished in our hearts.
Abigail was born in Trinidad, Colorado and was raised in Walsenburg and La Veta.
She is survived by her grandfather Franklin Arthur Aguirre; her parents, mother Mary Aguirre, father John (Stella) Sanchez; sisters, Madelyn (Eric) Summers, Angela (Jack) Ortiz, and Tanya Day; brothers Juan (Kelsey) Sanchez, Sean (Amanda) Sanchez, and Jonathan Sanchez.
Abigail also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Henry and Ascension Sanchez; grandma Manuelita Aguirre; and uncle Willie Sanchez.
A memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Emanuel Apostolic Temple, 711 W. 2nd St. in Walsenburg, Colorado. A reception will follow memorial services in the church hall.
