WALSENBURG — Last Friday a large water line broke in the northern part of the city creating shutoffs for temporary repairs from 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm Friday night. A failed gasket on the 14 inch line in front of the Alessi Dam was the culprit. City crews had to re-pressurize and bleed the air from the system after making the repairs. Water will probably be off overnight tonight (Thursday) to make permanent repairs now that parts have arrived.
