Lady Redskins win big

by Dreama Ortivez
LA VETA- Last Saturday afternoon, the Lady Redskins honored their parents before the final season home volleyball game. This was a very emotional night for the seniors as they handed flowers to their biggest fans. Flowers were not the only treat that the ladies had to offer. They also handed over a victory against the Sanford Indians.
The gymnasium was a packed house with lots of red and tons of Redskin spirit. The Lady Redskins played with a lot of heat and determination. Earlier in the season the team lost to the Indians in Sanford, so the Redskins were ready to avenge and that is exactly what they did.
In the first match, the Redskins won 25-20. In the second match, the Lady Redskins continued to serve well, and seniors Jacey Day and Brianna Crump were hitting the ball with great force. The Redskins found themselves another win over the Indians, 25-22.
In the third match, the Redskins were fired up and kept the crowd on their feet throughout the game. The gymnasium was roaring with cheers as the ladies continued to show the Indians that they were in Redskin territory. The Redskins got the victory over the Indians with a win in the third match, 25-19.
This was a huge win for the Lady Redskins as this was a league game. The team will travel to Custer County on Saturday for their final league match before Districts. Good luck Lady Redskins!
