WALSENBURG- The John Mall Lady Panthers have not tasted victory yet this season, but their teamwork is strong and their spirit is high. The Cats dropped a pair last weekend to the Crowley County Chargers, 56-37, and the Fountain Valley Danes, 46-36. According to Coach Mike Glidden, “We trailed by 6 at halftime and felt we had a chance.” A disappointing offensive show in the third quarter put them behind. The Lady Cats never gave up and came back with a strong rally in the final period, outscoring the Danes 18-14, but time ran out for the Panthers, stopping their comeback threat.
