Kasie Wagenfehr- Top 4-H Kid

LA VETA- You could say that La Veta teen Kasie Wagenfehr is a 4-H superstar.  She is completing her tenth year in 4-H.  In those ten years she has shown rabbits, chickens, dogs, sheep, goats, swine, steers and one year of horses at the Huerfano  county level.  She raised the Grand Champion steer each year from 2005 through 2007.  She had the Grand Champion lamb in 2004 and 2006, the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion goat in 2006, Grand Champion swine in 2007.   Additionally she was champion senior showman each year in 2004 through 2007.

    Wagenfehr has also earned the honor of showing at the State Fair with chickens, dogs, sheep, goats and swine.  In 2000, she was junior overall champion in dog obedience.  In 2003, she earned Champion English breed honors with one of her pullets.

    Wagenfehr has even shown sheep at the National Western Stock Show. 

    Showing animals is her passion in life.  As she heads off to college this fall, she will continue showing at Angelo State University on the cattle show team. 

    4-H and FFA have given Kasie Wagenfehr a great sense of responsibility, committment and dedication.
