HUERFANO- Judy Benine, Huerfano County Clerk and Recorder, issued a press release on Monday, announcing her candidacy: “I am running for re-election because I love the job for so many reasons. This job has been diverse, challenging and rewarding.
Major accomplishments have been attained in the office for more efficiency to the public and staff, including creating the first mail ballot in 1995, overseeing the County Clerk website, instituting ERecording, getting all maps digitized, and by May of this year, we’ll have all documents digitized.
Please accept my appreciation for keeping me in office. It has been an immense honor to serve you for 16 years.
