LA VETA- Emily Moll, who just graduated from La Veta High School, was awarded the Judge Donald E. Cordova Scholarship, which is worth $3000, toward her college education.
The scholarship requirements are the applicant must be a Latino or Latina high school senior who graduated from a Las Animas or Huerfano high school, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, be a U.S. citizen, have been accepted to an accredited two or four year college or university in the U.S., and have financial need. Only one student a year is awarded this exclusive and prestigious scholarship.
