Jennie Manzanares, 75, of Walsenburg died October 21, 2018 after a short illness.
Jennie was born on April 24, 1943 in Ruth, Nevada to Ben and Margaret Manzanares, and lived in Nevada for a very short time, moving back to Colorado when she was about two years old.

She sold Avon for many years, and she was her own best customer, especially jewelry.
She did however have her own babies, two poodles, Twinkle and Star, and her pet geese, Pepsi, Poka Dot (the duck), Baby and Mama. Jennie was a great Elvis fan and had a collection of Elvis pictures, music, even a guitar clock.
Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Margaret; two sisters, Virginia Gallegos and Theresa Cordova; her grandmothers, Delfina Chavez and Teofila Flores; and several other relatives.
She is survived by three sisters, Barbara Manzanares, Eleanor (Dan) Gomez, and Delphine Ortega; brothers, Raymond (Carolyn) Chavez, James (Joann) Chavez; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
