WALSENBURG- James England, a Texas transplant to Ward 2, announced Tuesday he will seek re-election. “I think we (the council) have accomplished a lot, but at the same time, there are a lot of things needing to be finished- the wastewater treatment plant, the aging infrastructure; these need to be kept going.”
“I think the City is headed in the right direction,” he continued. “This council is very proactive, and we get along well. One of the things we’ve done that I’m proud of is we’ve staggered council terms, so we’ll never have a cold council coming in.”
