WALSENBURG- The Huerfano County Hospital District Board announced that Gary Dickey, currently Colorado State Veteran′s Nursing Home Administrator, has agreed to assume the additional position of Interim CEO of Spanish Peaks Hospital during the time that the Board requires to review applications and select a new permanent CEO. Current CEO, Steve Perkins, has submitted his resignation effective July 11 to pursue a position on the Huerfano County Commission and Dickey will assume duties at that time.
Board Chairman, David Zehring, MD said “Gary Dickey has had a close collaborative relationship with Steve and is ideally suited to temporarily assume these added responsibilities.”
