HOEHNE — From April 30 to May 1, members of the Hoehne FFA Chapter’s Career Development Event (CDE) teams traveled to Fort Collins, CO to compete at the state CDE contest on the Colorado State University Campus. The Floriculture, Ag Sales, Farm Business Management, Land, and Livestock teams all traveled to compete.
Members of the Hoehne FFA Floriculture team included Jonathon Loveland, Hunter Green, Michal Plank, and Patrick Cummings. They received Gold as a team. Plank and Green both received Gold individually and both Loveland and Cummings received Bronze.
The Ag Sales team was represented by Jaylynn Tortorelli, Allison D’Ercole, and Bret Lucero. They received Silver as a team. D’Ercole received Gold individually and Tortorelli received Bronze.
The Hoehne FFA Land Judging team consisted of Shane Montoya, Jeremiah Montoya, and Jerrod Painter. Members of the Livestock Evaluation team were Weston Hill, Dario Orozco, and Antonio Moltrer.
Conner Philpott, Xavier Chavez, and Maverick Duran competed on the Farm Business Management team. The Land Judging, Livestock Evaluation, and Farm Business Management teams all did well but did not receive a team award. Painter from Land Judging received Silver individually and Montoya from Land Judging received Bronze. Bob Walter received Bronze in Livestock judging.
We would like to congratulate and thank all Hoehne FFA members that competed at the State CDE Contest for working so hard throughout the year to represent the Hoehne FFA Chapter so well. We would also like to thank all of the community members and volunteers that have helped prepare our teams for competition. All of your help is greatly
appreciated! CDE’s are finished for the year but we can’t wait to improve and compete again next year!
