by David Tesitor

PUEBLO — The Hoehne Farmers faced some tough competition from mostly 3-4A schools and fared well in both the heat of the day and the coolness of the evening under the lights at the 4th Annual Pueblo Twilight Invitational.

Shaelyn Walton placed 4th in the 400 meter dash in a time of 1:02.63 minutes and 7th in the 800M in 2:27.27. Zoe Rivas finished 7th in the 100 meter hurdles in 17.94 seconds. The only other Farmer to place in the top ten was Jacob Yates who placed 7th in the 110 Meter hurdles and 5th (16.56 seconds) in the 300MH in a time of 42.38 seconds. Several members of the team managed to hold onto their state ranking positions and are hoping to improve their standings as they enter in the final week of competition.
