WALSENBURG- The hospital board met Aug. 26 and heard from Michelle Parks, the Director of Marketing for both the hospital and the veterans home. Parks was hired six months ago to create a consistent brand for the facility. She reported on advertising efforts and on the new website. The hospital is asking people with outstanding bills “to help us help you”. Call and make an appointment to discuss how to resolve the problem, for a win win situation for both.
M.A.S.H. camps will be run for area 6th through 8th graders in the fall, and for high school students in the spring. The kids, usually those interested in the health field, spend two days at the facility visiting different departments. They get scrubs and I.D., as “pretend staff members” and are given an intense overview of the various departments to introduce them to some of the many different careers available in the health field.
