HCVFD firefighters review operations plan

WALSENBURG — Several members of the Huerfano, Pueblo, and Fremont county fire departments and Department of Public Safety met on Thursday, March 21, 2013 to review Huerfano County’s Annual Operations Plan.
County commissioner Max Vezzani, emergency manager Diego Bobian, and Sheriff Bruce Newman were in attendance. State resources, BLM, and Forest Service boundaries, mapping, emergency communications, road and bridge heavy equipment availability, and aviation requests were a few of the many topics discussed.
Ralph Bellah, US Forest Service, gave an update on forest service news, which included a new video on fire restrictions, and a new public information officer group.
Huerfano County Emergency Management is committed to reduce loss of life and property by lessening the impact of disasters.
