Got Bingo?  Got Raffles?

WALSENBURG- Attention all non-profit organizations and churches in Huerfano County!  Did you know that your organization must be licensed and have a certified games manager in place to legally hold Bingo games, or to hold raffles and drawings?  If your group does not have a certified games manager, there is good news.  You will not have to travel to Denver for classes, thanks to the efforts of Walsenburg’s St. Mary’s Church.

The church is hosting bingo/raffle manager training for local non-profits or church organizations on Saturday September 30, from 10 am to 4 pm at Mazzone Hall, which is located on East Seventh Street, across from St. Mary’s Church in Walsenburg.   Chuck Greene of the Colorado Secretary of State’s office will be here as trainer and will also be able to answer all of your questions concerning games licensing and management.

A games manager, once certified, may manage raffles for up to three organizations.    The cost of the class is $20 per person, and licensing of a non-profit is $100 per year.   Call Mary Jo Tesitor at 719-738-1331 to get your name placed on the training list.

You can find more information on obtaining licensing on the the Colorado Secretary of State website, www.sos.state.co.us.
