Farm Bureau scholarship recipient

HUERFANO- The Huerfano County Farm Bureau has chosen Jacob Myers as the recipient of its 2009 college scholarship. Myers, a senior at John Mall High School, plans to enroll in Lamar Community College and major in horse training and management. The son of Tim and Lynn Myers, Jacob has been involved with 4H in Huerfano County for eight years, including projects with horses, sheep and leathercraft. The $500 scholarship is paid in two installments, half upon registration in the fall and the balance after registration for the following spring semester.
