WALSENBURG- Around 300 friends and relatives packed the memorial service for Doug Mann last Saturday, paying tribute with anecdotes, song and fond memories. Mann was well known for his work with the equine therapy program, with children, and for his love for the outdoors, his horses and his home he made on Silver Mountain with his wife, Dawn.
Several people took their turn to speak of how Doug had touched their lives. Judging by the turnout, he will be sadly missed.
The El Paso County Coroner’s office conducted the autopsy, and reported that the cause of death was determined to hypothermia and exposure.
