WALSENBURG- La Veta′s Dalton Williams′ road to state took an unexpected detour as he lost his opening bout to Bradley Shields of Custer County by pin fall at 1:52. Williams trailed 2-0 as time ticked down. For Williams to make the state tourney, he must win the next three matches. Any loss will eliminate him from state. Williams still has a chance to place in the top 6 however.
