WALSENBURG-Walsenburg City Councilman James England, who announced he was running for re-election last week, was cited for driving under the influence on July 30, in Lathrop State Park as he was leaving the Walsenburg Golf Club. “It was a stupid mistake that won’t happen again,” England said. “I had a half day off, and I went out fishing, and then thought I hadn’t had dinner at the club for a while… it was just stupid.”
England was not taken into custody, and has a court appearance later this month.
