Las Animas County Director of Care Services – South Central Council of Governments. Summary: This is a full time professional position responsible for program management and development of the Care Services Program in Las Animas County. The Care Services Director directly supervises case worker staff and engages in providing home and community based services within Las Animas County . The Care Services Director administers the SC COG’s Medicaid Licensed Provider Program for clients referred by the Department of Human Services. Other similar programs are funded by private pay clients, and contracted services. The Care Services Director also engages in long range strategic planning, program evaluation and fiscal management and regulatory compliance. The position reports to the Executive Director of South Central Council of Governments. Work Schedule and Qualifications: This exempt benefitted position requires 40 hours a week to be completed Monday through Friday. Professional staff may be called upon to work above and beyond the agency hours of operation. Salary $45K+ D. O. E. and Education. Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, health care services, nursing, hospital and medical clinic administration, or related field and significant executive or management-level experience; OR a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
