Ortivez claims championship at state

Denver CO- 8:39 pm. Adam Ortivez is the latest Huerfano County athlete to be crowned champion. Ortivez is La Veta’s first state champion. He defeated Jake Milberger for the third time in four weeks in a rematch of the Valley Classic and The Regional Championship. To get to the podium, Ortivez took control early and never let go. Adam opened up a quick 2-0 lead by takedown and never let his lead go. He defeated Milberger 5-1 to win the title.
