Card’s 50th Anniversary

The family of Elinda E. and William E. Card are pleased to announce their 50th Wedding Anniversary on September 21, 2008.

Bill and Lynn both attended Adrian College in Alma, Michigan, where they met.  The couple was married at Alma First Methodist Church in 1958.

Bill graduated in January the year they were married.  The couple moved to Denver, Colorado and he secured a position as a Junior High School English teacher in the Huerfano County School District and Lynn ran daycare for many years.

Their four children – Jennifer, Nathan, Heidi and Kiersten- soon followed. They purchased a cabin near Almont, Colorado where the family spent summers, Christmas and spring breaks.

After seeing their children grow and graduate, the couple made the summer cabin their permanent home in 1986. They have spent many happy years in Spring Creek Valley. Lynn has developed her talent as a water colorist and amateur archaeologist and Bill has enjoyed fly fishing and bartending. They have a rich social life with friends and family.

They have traveled and celebrated the arrival of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even grand-dogs.

They will celebrate their Golden Anniversary with friends and family at Harmel’s Ranch Resort in Taylor Canyon on September 20, 2008.
