Bus crash injures two

HUERFANO- A Ford F 150 collided with a southbound Greyhound bus on I-25 at mile marker 59 Monday evening, injuring two Fort Carson soldiers in the truck.  State Patrol said the driver of the truck was attempting to turn when they collided.

    Emmet Bauer, 23, and Benjamin Dowling, 21, both of Fort Carson, suffered serious injuries in the crash and were transferred to Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center by ambulance. They were later transferred to other hospitals.

    Six passengers on the Greyhound bus and the driver were transported  to Spanish Peaks hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released.

    The bus was driven by Gabriel Garcia, 53, of Altadena, California.
