Buell Pattison, 88, beloved father, was called to his eternal resting place on October 9, 2018.

He entered this world on September 14, 1930 in Clovis, NM, born to Orville E. Pattison and Wilma Helmick.

Buell grew up on the family farm north of Clovis. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1950.

Buell joined the Army in August 1951 and was stationed in Germany for 15 months. He transferred to the Army Reserves in July 1953 and attended Eastern New Mexico University.

He married Jean Ann Davison in August 1954. Buell graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 1957 with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts.

He received an Honorable Discharge from the Army Reserves in August 1957.

Buell and Jean raised their family in Taos, NM where he was a volunteer fire fighter for 30 plus years and was self-employed with Pattison Construction. During the 40 plus years Pattison Construction built several businesses, homes and many other buildings in Taos County and Taos Ski Valley.

Buell volunteered with Shalom Ministries for 20 plus years where he provided spiritual adviser to the youth at the New Mexico Boys School in Springer, NM. Buell was a faithful servant unto the Lord our Father in Heaven.

Buell is survived by his wife, Jean Pattison of 64 years, who resides in Cimarron, NM; four children, Edward Pattison-Gordon, wife, Laurie, Sherri Pattison-Qualls, husband, Paul, Jon Pattison, wife, Kim, Barbara Pattison-Martinez, husband, Thomas; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Buell is also survived by one brother, Hoyt Pattison, wife Joy of Clovis, NM. He has many nieces and nephews who reside throughout the United States.

There will be a Service at the First Baptist Church, 5 Lambert Hills Blvd Cimarron, NM, 87714 on November 2, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. -2:30 p.m.

There will be a Memorial Service at the Taos Fire Department meeting room, 323 Cam De La Placita, Taos, NM 87571, on November 3, 2018, from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if you wish you can send a memorial donation to the Taos Fire Department.
