Peakview students in concert

TONIGHT

WALSENBURG- If you missed the La Veta school concert or last night’s Gardner School concert, please make sure to head to Peakview School tonight and attend their student concert at 6:30 pm.  We are fortunate to have music programs in all of our Huerfano County schools- please attend and show your support for the kids and for music.

COG rides for all!

WALSENBURG- COG Transit is public transportation – for anyone !

    It is a “Demand Response” meaning instead of a fixed route passengers call for a ride and make an appointment. The Rideline number is 719-738-1182 in Walsenburg and 719-845-1137 in Trinidad. Currently hours are 7am til 5pm. Plans are to expand hours as demand grows and to establish regular routes around Walsenburg and Trinidad, and in time, trips from Walsenburg to La Veta and Gardner.

Fares (one way):

$4.00     Full fare per trip

$2.50     Elderly (60 and up)

$2.00     Area Agency on             Aging clients (call              845-1133 for info)

$3.00     Disabled 

    FREE     rides are available via a grant from Colorado Department of Transportation and Huerfano County Department of Human Services.  Not all trips are eligible, only those  that help strengthen and stabilize families. That includes trips to educational opportunities, training, and shopping.
