WALSENBURG- The first match of the evening involving two area wrestlers is in the 119 pound class. Michael Channel of La Veta (2-16) drew the number one ranked wrestler in the state in Alex Pena of Ignacio. Pena is the returning state champion. Pena defeated John Mall′s Waylom Cordova in last year′s state trounament. John Paul Vigil of John Mall faces Michael Hoops of Del Norte. He is in the same bracket as Pena.
