All Walsenburg Class Reunion

WALSENBURG- The third time’s a charm…at least that’s what organizers are hoping for with the 3rd annual All Walsenburg Class Reunion coming up here in Walsenburg on August 13. The first reunion in 2009 drew about 335 people, last year’s about 225, so organizers are hoping this year will go beyond that to the capacity of 350!
While the reunion draws together graduates and their guests of all ages, it also serves as a gathering place where smaller classes can have their reunions on either Friday night, early in the day on Saturday, or perhaps on Sunday. This year the combined classes of 1961 from both St. Mary’s and HCHS and the combined classes of 1965 will have gatherings and will then come to the larger reunion.
“We hope to continue this Class Reunion weekend for many years to come. It’s a great way to catch up with classmates as well as siblings of classmates, parents, and teachers, as well as to find out what’s happening in Walsenburg all at the same time” says event organizer Paulette Stuart. “We hope hotels, merchants and museums will see results of the reunion in increased sales on Friday and Saturday!”
This year the reunion will be August 13 at the Huerfano County Community Center. Registration, dinner and dance will be $30 and registrations must be in by July 30.
The website for registration is www.allwalsenburgreunion.myevent.com where you can register online or by sending a check to: Paulette Stuart, All Class Reunion at 1430 Carteret Avenue, Pueblo, Colorado 81004. Her phone is 719-544-2435 and email is jhmpstuart@comcast.net
